Estonian citizens need visas to study in Canada. There is a difference between visas and permits. A visa is for entering the country, but a permit gives you the right to study or work there.
No study permit is necessary if the study period is less than 6 months, beyond which a Temporary Resident Visa must be acquired. If your study period is longer than 6 months you need also medical document (NB! Only Dr. Jaak Tälli can provide this document. Phone number: 6109444). A study permit is also required if you wish to work in campus while studying. You can work, for example, as a teaching assistant.
A Temporary Resident Visa costs approximately 100 CAN. The student visa is 125 CAN. You can apply for a visa at the Canadian Embassy in Tallinn or online.
